The Art of Making Halupki (Cabbage Rolls)
[fvplayer src=’http://www.sheldonsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/2013-02-24-20.24.371.flv’ width=1920 height=1088 autoplay=false splash=’http://www.sheldonsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/2013-02-24-20.24.37.flv.jpg’ splashend=show]
Preparing the cabbage leaves: Carve the core from the bottom of the cabbage head. Immerse the head of cabbage in a large stove top pot containing lightly boiling water and let it soften the cabbage head a bit so the leaves start to peel away. Use a long cooking fork to hold the cabbage still while using a pair of cooking tongs to separate each cabbage leaf from the head.
Cut the tough piece from each leave, place a half handful of seasoned ground beef, pork and rice mixture onto the cabbage leaf, and roll the cabbage leaf around this meat and rice stuffing as shown in the video. Stack the cabbage rolls in a large roaster pot.
Reserve the boiling cabbage water and add tomato paste and brown sugar per recipe. Heat and stir this sauce mixture until everything is well dissolved. Then, pour the sauce over the cabbage rolls in the roaster pot (fill to about half way up the top layer of cabbage rolls) before covering the pot and baking them in the oven per recipe.
Magic Reunion of Shaq and 3D and Penny on NBA Tip-Off

This is an all-Orlando Magic cast with Ernie Johnson.
Shaq tells the story about how he requested the Magic GM to arrange to get Penny instead of Chris Weber. This is the first time I heard of this. I always wondered why the Magic picked Chris Weber 1st in the draft and traded him to Golden State for Penny who was the third pick.

Could J.J. Redick be re-signed by the Magic this summer?
J.J. Redick will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. When asked if he could re-sign with the Magic this summer, he said that he can’t remember an NBA team trading a player and then re-signing him a few months later.
Well, remember that Zydrunas Ilgauskas was traded by the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Washington Wizards for Antawn Jamison. Then, after the Wizards bought-out his contract, Big Z was re-signed by the Cavs.
So, we can keep our hopes that J.J. might return to the Magic, however unlikely the probability.
Kyrie Irving practiced dribbling a basketball that was wrapped inside a plastic bag
Kyrie Irving and Brandon Knight – Rising Stars Game 02-15-2013
Start the Video and let it completely load into buffer. It’s real HD so it will take a while.

The first crosslover and step-back move by Kyrie was beautiful to watch live. However, upon review, Kyrie already took his first step left after he stopped dribling and gathered the ball. The next two steps left in the “step-back” move equals a total of three steps (and that’s traveling — Even for the NBA — But, apparently not traveling in the Rising Stars Challenge or the All Star Game.). After you gather the ball and both or your feet are on the floor, you only get one and one-half steps boys!
Too tired to go on, Pope Benedict will resign
Rome (CNN) — The spiritual leader of 1.2 billion Catholics, Pope Benedict XVI, surprised the world Monday by saying he will resign at the end of the month “because of advanced age.”
It’s the first time a pope has stepped down in nearly 600 years.
“Strength of mind and body are necessary, strength which in the last few months has deteriorated in me to the extent that I have had to recognize my incapacity to adequately fulfill the ministry entrusted to me,” said Benedict, 85, according to the Vatican.
J.J. Redick First Half Highlights – Brent Barry eat your heart out
[wposflv src=http://www.sheldonsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/2013-02-10_Redick.flv Redick First Half Highlights vs. Portland height=480 width=640 title=”Redick Highlights” previewimage=”http://www.sheldonsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/2013-02-10_19.56.07.flv_snapshot.jpg”]
J.J. Redick had 15 points in the first half against Portland. He’s been going to the hoop and drawing contact repeatedly. J.J. finished the game with 22 points shooting 9 of 13 from the floor, 2 of 4 three-pointers, and 5 assists. Final Score: Magic 110 Trailblazers 104.
Brent Barry you must realize by now that J.J.’s not just jumpshots. He can certainly sink the three’s, make the jumpers from the floor, make floaters, finish at the rim with contact, shoot just under 90% from the line, move relentlessly without the ball, run pick and roll and pop and hard cut backdoor, and efficiently make plays for his teammates. So, Brent, it’s time to stop disrespecting J.J. on NBA TV.
At 1:48 of this video, Watch Gustavo Ayon block Damian Lillard’s shot at the rim! Everybody likes the posterizing dunks. So, let’s recognize a great defensive chase-down and stuff at rim!!!
